Let’s talk about sleep. Or whatever we’re calling the 3 a.m. experience.
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but staring at the ceiling while your brain hosts a full board meeting is not a personality flaw. It’s midlife. It’s hormones. It’s nervous systems that refuse to clock out.
Some nights I’m fine. Other nights I’m mentally reorganizing the pantry, revisiting arguments from 2011, and calculating how much retirement costs in three different states.
It’s chaotic. It’s sweaty. It’s deeply humbling.
So I’m curious… what’s your vibe these days?
And… if your nights have turned into a full-on psychological thriller, tell me. Misery loves company!

Angela, As you know, I’m well past menopause so I can’t blame it on hormones! But, yes, 3:30 am seems to have my name on it for waking up for sometimes 1 to 2 hours then back to sleep only to be awakened by my 6 am alarm. I’ve never required more than 6 to 7 hours but really!!!! 3:30 is ridiculous!
The constant eye burn is real! Ugh.
