Here’s what’s been on my mind.
A Real Girl bestie of mine is experimenting with fun on purpose this year. One new thing each month. Nothing life-altering. No pressure to be good at it. Just curiosity, play, and seeing what sticks. It’s not about doing more, it is about doing different.
I’m doing my own version with drum lessons (more on that later). Not to master them. Not to turn them into a side hustle (yet!). Just to learn, laugh, fire up my brain… and honestly? Kinda badass.
And maybe that’s the energy of this year.
We’re in the Year of the Horse — specifically the Fire Horse — which is all about momentum, courage, and movement that comes from instinct, not force. Forward motion doesn’t have to mean hustle. Sometimes it just means following the thing that nudges you and seeing where it leads.
