There’s nothing like the women who know your worst stories and still show up with sunscreen and snacks. Thanks for the reminder that sisterhood really is the comeback plan.
“The location is optional. The exhale is not.” Ahhhhh…I love this. This is all so true, you remember who you are when you don’t have to decide anything beyond salsa or guacamole? You’ve inspired me to plan a getaway!! Xoxo
Peace, quiet, nature, water & sunshine. My ideal girls trip involves boujie lattes every morning, mellow walks through nature, splurging at local farmers markets, maybe trying a new recipe in someone else’s kitchen with zero timeline or rush and no children yelling “MOMMY”. Beyond that, I could take tropical island or mountains and trees. A good book, endless girlfriend gib gab, maybe some trashy realty tv, ice cream. I'm ready when you are!
I’ve been doing an (almost) annual 5 day meetup with a group of friends from college for 8 years now and have added an annual trip somewhere, even if it’s a stay over at my house, with a group of friends I met when our kids were young. Highly recommend it. It gives me emotional support that lasts for months!
Villa del Arco in Cabo is a great fit for us but so are Airbnb rentals and frankly just as much fun at someone’s home. It’s the company that makes it.
